FUNDRAISING IDEAS FOR KIDS
There are things kids can do to raise money for BGMC. They can do things around the house, around their neighborhood, and even sell things! We are only limited in how much we use our imagination. You will find a few ideas listed below, but you can also click the button below to download a PDF with even more ideas!
Around the House (Chores):
- Take out the Trash
- Vacuum the Car
- Wash the Dishes
- Clean the Garage
- Earn Good Grades
In The Great Outdoors:
- Rake Leaves (Your own or yards around the neighborhood)
- Wash Cars
- Yard Work
- Mow Lawns
- Run for Missions (Every Mile is a Dollar amount – People Sponsor you)
Selling Stuff:
- Garage Sale ( Even ask other family members to donate stuff to your garage sale)
- Baked Goods (Bake sale at church)
- Your Toys ( We all have things we dont play with anymore)
- Crafts (Get crafty and make stuff you can sell. Bracelets or art – You could host an art show and sell your art at the show)
IDEAS FOR KIDS CHURCH
Help the kids in your church multiply their BGMC giving by having contests or other events for the whole group. Four times a year we would host a big challenge for the entire kids church, and this was a great way to encourage every child to participate in giving.
Contests:
- Sock Challenge (Heavist Sock wins a prize)
- Water Jug Challenge (Boys Jug & a Girls Jug. End of the month, the side with the most gets to slime or pie a leader of the opposing side. – We did this every year for VBS and would raise over $6,000. Get the parents involved)
- Kiss the Pig ( Set a goal and if the kids reach it you have to kiss a pig)
- Human Hotdog ( Set a goal and it the kids reach it you get turned into a human hotdog. Buy a hotdog costume from amazon. You can get any condiments you want for this. We always got cheap squeeze bottles from Amazon the kids could squeeze the condiments on the person.)
Marathons:
- Bike-a-thon ( Set up an event for all the kids to participate in. The kids would then get pledges from family, friends and neighbors that will give so much per every lap they do.)
- Jump-a-thon (Take pledges on how many times they can jump rope)
Other Events:
- 10-10-10 Challenge ( The whole church can get in on this. Everyone would get 10 people to give $10 each to BGMC in 10 days.)
- One in One Hundred. ( Kids find sponsors and then do something one hundred time to raise funds and awareness for BGMC)
